Move Analysis

If I’m being honest, none of Mega Blaziken’s moves threaten any of its counters in any significant way. So you can feel comfortable bringing any of the recommended Pokémon into battle against Mega Blaziken regardless of the moves that it has.

How to get Mega Blaziken

You cannot catch Blaziken in its mega evolved form from the raid. The mega raid boss is always catchable in its base form and as such, the CP ranges are for a regular Blaziken.

Blaziken can be caught with the following CP values:

  • 1550 – 1627 CP at Level 20 with no weather boost

  • 1938 – 2034 CP at Level 25 with Sunny or Cloudy weather boost

In order to get Mega Blaziken you will need 200 Mega Energy for the initial evolution, then 40 Mega Energy to evolve the same Blaziken again in the future. If you wait for their ‘cooldown’ period to end, Mega Evolution is free. This cooldown period is shorter the higher mega level your Mega Pokémon is. Mega Energy can be obtained via Mega Blaziken Raids, and once you have evolved Mega Blaziken, you can earn 5 Mega Energy per candy while walking it as your buddy. You can walk any Torchic, Combusken or Blaziken to earn Mega Energy, as long as you have previously evolved one to register it to your Mega Pokédex.

Shiny Sprites

Like all Mega Raid Bosses, you can catch the shiny version of Blaziken from a raid, if you’re lucky!
