Niantic has just announced that Party Share is coming to Party Play. Party Share allows Trainers to share Incense, Lucky Eggs, and Star Pieces with members of their party.

Of course, there is a catch – items shared via Party Share have their duration reduced by half. For example, an Incense with a 60 minute duration would be divided into 30 minutes for each player, regardless of how many Trainers are in the party.

Rules for using Party Share are very simple:

  • Trainers can use Party Share to share their items up to four times per day for each type of item.

  • There is no daily limit to how many times a Trainer can benefit from items shared with them by other party members.

Effects from Party Shared items don’t stack with other items, so you cannot double stack Daily Adventure Incense and a Party Shared Incense. You cannot combine the feature with ther Trainer Boost effects such as those from Daily Adventure Incense, the Coin Bag, or the Mystery Box.

However, if one of the items is boosted by an event bonus (Incense during Community Days), that bonus does apply to Party Share. And that’s it folks!

Party Share is expected to become available soon, hopefully worldwide.
