Giratina (Origin Form) is taking over Raids in Pokémon GO, and you can beat this Ghost/Dragon powerhouse using strong Dragon, Dark, Ghost, and Ice types. This Pokémon is an excellent pick for both the PvE and PvP meta, and can be shiny!

It has a Raid Boss CP of 41776, and can be caught with the following CP values:

  • 2018 – 2105 CP with no weather boost (Level 20)

  • 2523 – 2631 CP with Fog or Windy weather (Level 25)

How to Get Mega Aggron

You cannot catch Aggron in its mega evolved form from the raid. The mega raid boss is always catchable in its base form, and as such, the CP ranges are for a regular Aggron. Aggron can be caught with the following CP values:

  • 1636 – 1714 CP at Level 20, no weather boost
  • 2045 – 2143 CP at Level 25, boosted by Snow weather boost

In order to get Mega Aggron, you will need 200 Mega Energy for the initial evolution, then 40 Mega Energy to evolve the same Aggron again in the future. If you wait for their ‘cooldown’ period to end, Mega Evolution is free. This cooldown period is shorter the higher the Mega level your Mega Pokémon is.

Mega Energy can be obtained via Mega Aggron Raids, and once you have evolved Mega Aggron, you can earn 5 Mega Energy per candy while walking it as your buddy. You can walk any Aron, Lairon, or Aggron to earn Mega Energy, as long as you have previously evolved one to register it to your Mega Pokédex.
